CHARTER INFO, RATES AND CREW INFORMATION...

Welcome to Carnivore Charters.  We would love to have you as a guest aboard our boat.  This boat is family owned and operated.  While fishing Captain Ed Petrilli will be assisted by one or more of his three sons as mate for the day. Justin, Anthony and Gianno all have extensive fishing experience. They are seasoned mates who have traveled throughout the Mid Atlantic, Bahamas, Mexico, Caribbean, Panama and Costa Rica. They will always keep your comfort, safety and enjoyment a priority.

You will enjoy the many amenities that Carnivore has aboard; including AC, Sat TV, Microwave, Ice Maker, Water Maker, Two Heads and Rocking Stereo ready for your ipod. There is plenty of room to relax in the saloon, up on the bridge or in the cockpit where the action is. Carnivore is also equipped with all required Coast Guard safety equipment, including an 8 man life raft. READ MORE... "ABOUT THE BOAT" ON SIDE COLUMN.

Carnivore has a full arsenal of IGFA tackle to handle any type of Blue Water or inshore fishing you desire, but Blue Water is our specialty. The crew will always provide premium quality and expertly rigged baits and deploy the best tactics to entice the target species. Our galley has refrigerator and freezer space for your use and beverage coolers with plenty of ice on the boat for you to store your drinks.  Breakfast and Lunch can be provided at request (please call for prices). Do It Yourself fish cleaning station is available at our dock for those handy with a knife. (Fish cleaning is not included in price of charter.) Fish cleaning is also available for hire at the nearby Morehead City waterfront.

All day trips generally leave at first light and return between 5 and 6PM. Depending on sea conditions and where the bite is, we normally run about 2 1/2 hours to and from the fishing grounds. A $200 deposit is required in advance (see Pay Pal  below). Deposit will be returned in full if Captain determines sea conditions and or weather prohibits safe and sensible fishing, otherwise they are non-refundable.

CAPT ED SOAKS UP SOME PANAMA BEAUTY

Captain Edward J. Petrilli
USCG 50 Ton Masters License

Captain Ed grew up fishing and working on boats as a kid who loved the water.  He sat for his first US Coast Guard 6 pack license in 1979, when he was just 19 years old.  His passion is his family and his boat....normally in that order. He has a love, knowledge and respect for mother ocean and spends most of his days on it, in it or around it. Like all of his son's, Captain Ed loves to surf when the swell is up. He takes great pride in Carnivore and her upkeep. He is one of the rare owner operators who does most all of his own maintenance (having three sons helps too). He was intimately involved in the design and layout of all aspects of Carnivore and spent many a day in the boat shed during her construction. He has taught his family much about life on the water and is always willing to pass his knowledge of cruising and fishing on to anyone who shares his passion. Long distance multiple day and over-night voyages are his favorite times at sea. He says it gives him time to reflect on the beauty of the ocean and how lucky he is to be able to enjoy all she has to offer.

Justin grabs another bill for a friend.

Justin Petrilli - Mate

Justin has been fishing with his dad for as long as he can remember.  He has also had the chance to work as a mate for some of the best charter and traveling captains in the industry. After traveling and living aboard Carnivore for a year he worked as mate and chef aboard various boats in Costa Rica, Panama and most recently in Alaska. He is currently attending the Culinary Institute Of America in Hyde Park, NY. This degree combined with his extensive experience as a traveling mate, should lead to continued work and travel in exotic places. He plans to sit for his captains license after he completes culinary school in 2012.  In addition to fishing, Justin loves to surf and hunt with his EI buddies.

ANTHONY MONKEYING AROUND.
Anthony Petrilli - Mate
Anthony is another working / playing mate aboard Canivore. He loves to fish plain and simple. While traveling aboard Carnivore throughout the Caribbean, Panama and Costa Rica he seemed to have an uncanny ability to beat everyone else on board to the fighting chair. He has done battle with some amazing billfish both stand up and in the chair. His 6'2" height and long lanky frame make him a force to be reckoned with in the cockpit. In 2009 he was lucky enough to fish the Triple Crown in Bermuda aboard the Anita Jean in which they took 3rd place overall. He is also a very competent self taught film maker with some fantastic montages of surfing and fishing. If you ask, he will gladly pop one of his dvd's in for you to get you pumped up on the run out to the fishing grounds. Fair warning, once you turn him on to fish and surf talk, it's tough to turn him off. He will graduate Croatan High in 2011, and has his eyes on ECU.

What to do with all these shrimp?
Gianno Petrilli - Mate

Gianno may be the third son in line for the cockpit, but he is as knowledgeable and confident as a mate with many many more years under his belt. His compact frame and agility allow him to move with dizzying speed in the cockpit. He works magic with a needle, thread, any dead bait and a circle hook. If you want someone with the patients of a saint and cool personality to make any bait rigging lesson fun....Gianno's your man.  If you want to know what critter or plant you're looking at above or below the water line.....he's your guy. He loves to surf and is an excellent nature and outdoor photographer.....Again, patients pays off. Gianno is always happy to show off his wildlife photos on the computer and share his knowledge and love of the great outdoors. His nick name among family and friends is "Nature Boy". Quick with a smile and always joking, he is a blast to hang out with for a day in the cockpit. Gianno also attends Croatan High with his brother Anthony.
